Abbey flyers

Abbey Flyers is the Sheffield Trampoline Club having satellite clubs in all areas of Sheffield, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Our main base is the performance centre at All Saints Sports College Sheffield, with additional sessions at Wisewood Sports Centre, Stocksbridge Sports Centre, Handsworth Grange Sports Centre and Valley Park School.

The club is a voluntary organisation, which reaches over 500 people per week from all areas of Sheffield, Yorkshire and Derbyshire, England. The club was the first Trampoline Club in Yorkshire, and one of the first in Great Britain, to gain GymMark, which is the Sport England Club Mark accreditation through British Gymnastics.

Since initially starting the trampoline club as an after school club in November 2000, the club has expanded and exceeded all expectations. Initially with 11 members the club began to grow and now has over 250 regular members and many many recreational participants. As well as this we have many different coaches working within different schools linking with all of the 4 School Sports Partnerships in Sheffield.

The club now boasts 25 British National Finalists including 1 British Champion, 4 National Silver medallists a Bronze medallist and 4 other top 8 Finalists from the 2008 British Trampoline Championships. The club has members on National programs aiming to achieve at top world level.

We have over 40 qualified trampoline Judges and Officials, and over 20 qualified trampoline coaches from grass routes to High Performance. All trampoline coaches, judges, committee members and helpers give many hours of their voluntary time each week to Abbey Flyers. They dedicate this time to the community of the club, help all of our children reach their full potential, and giving them the opportunities that they would otherwise not be able to access.

Abbey Flyers is a trampoline club for all, aiming to give individuals a chance to achieve something different with their lives and strives to be the best club in not only Great Britain but indeed the world!
